Licenses
All modules published on PATANEGRA Soft Hub are distributed under the Apache License 2.0. Below is a summary of what it allows and the licenses of third-party components we use.
Apache-2.0
License of PATANEGRA modules

- Commercial use
- Modification and distribution
- Private use
- Express patent grant
Conditions
- Keep copyright notice
- Include a copy of the license
- State changes made

Third-party components
The full text of each license ships with each module in its LICENSE file. AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, local models…) are governed by their own terms of service, outside this distribution.
Building your own agents and modules
Apache-2.0 is permissive. You can build commercial agents and domain modules on top of the reference stack without relicensing Patanegra’s code.
- Patanegra’s Apache code (e.g. AI Engine, Chatboo) remains Apache-2.0: keep notices, LICENSE and Apache’s patent grant.
- Original code in your module or agent — including your contexts and skills — may be published under another license (even proprietary), provided you comply with Apache for the Apache parts.
- You cannot strip Apache from Patanegra’s code or present it as yours alone under another license.
- The PATANEGRA / PAAP marks are not granted by Apache: use them under trademark rules, not as if the protocol endorsed your product.
This is a practical summary, not legal advice. For dual-licensing or copyleft combinations (e.g. AGPL), review compatibility with counsel before publishing.
